From our beginnings in a small shop, to our high production custom facility today, kärvd has focused on only a few things: serving our customers and producing the highest quality wood mouldings possible. By holding fast to these principles, our team has grown and our capabilities have as well.
Today, we have 1 primary facility in Higginsville, MO and operate it with a team of extraordinary people. With a focus on large cabinet companies and custom millwork facilities, kärvd has the ability to serve the needs of woodworking companies of any size.

1957
Origins in Higginsville, MOStarting in a small facility in the town of Higginsville, MO as a custom cabinet shop, Bredehoeft Millworks was born. In 1957, Ed Bredehoeft began his journey, later followed by his son Keith.
Raising Quality with a MoulderThey added a moulder to their operations because they needed higher quality components. Once they started running moulding, they found a way not only to serve their cabinet shop, but also to serve others.
Precision & AccuracyWith a vision of serving the industry with wood components and products milled with precision and accuracy, the company began to blossom.
2021
Rebrand to kärvdAfter 64 years as a local millwork shop, a few like-minded people got together to grow the business. In 2021, two more companies joined the group and rebranded the company to kärvd, after realizing it was better to work together than separately. With over 100 years of combined experience serving the woodworking industry, kärvd meets the needs of large and small customers alike.
2022–2024
Expansion Across North AmericaWe have grown into a much larger facility and are shipping wood moulding and components across North America.
